ENERGY KEPT IN STONE
I've been wanting to explore more the old, thousand year old castle that we tend to pass by on our way to next big town and not just peeking from underneath the hill but actually get the ticket and walk through the stone gate that loses against its weight, soil movements, heat and rain.
The Keep of Corfe Castle was built as a highly-visible symbol of status, power and authority serving as fortress, residence, treasury and prison, now still overwhelms with the silent power it once had but also brings some sadness at a thought as to what have become of the things far behind us. It once was a home teeming with life and laughter, tears and labour. Seeing it so unnaturally fragile, snapping pictures felt almost like uncovering its wounds. But whatever's been said, there's still life there, cows graze beneath the hilltop, daisies lean onto the cold bricks. And we will be back for sure.

Each time we are wandering around Corfe Castle I discover more things.
