A STYLE THAT HAS NO RULES
A STYLE THAT HAS NO RULES

So what are we made of these past dreary afternoons of mild colds and warm foreheads? We're made of watercolours in deep orange and bottle green, chunky wax crayons of the most citrusy yellows and reds. At any given time my durable, over-bulked shopping bag is heavy laden with boxes of crayons, accessory sets, paints, collage toolboxes, pens and soft pastels. Yes, it takes a while for our home to feel like it again after a painting session or gluing craze but now I can't imagine not being in this space, not loving every wax mark on the furniture. Yes and yes all over again.

The easiest and probably the most fun way to get creative is to use things we already have stashed away and give them new meaning then display them correctly (I stopped counting how many times Nadia corrected me as to the wrong way I've put the sketch up or the way I described it. Man, I'm nervous just by holding it!). Nadia is still a big fan of transforming something boring into something stunning just like she did it before but now she uses paler shades. I'm just glad she's not into spray painting. I guess she's only trying to create a space that makes her happy.

Happy first day of October from a smiling cat. Or is it a cat? It has this vibrant, quirky Lewis Carroll's playful quality about it so yeah, I'll stick with a cat. You just need a little bit of confidence when it comes to those things. xx
