Some plants to be considered beautiful and edible need to look like weed or grass at some point. But never be tempted to treat it like weed, love the taste it will enhance from the infancy of seed and it eventually be worth the wait, worth the kitchen spatula we used to plant it. There's also a challenge yet not realized -- the pot will not hold the amount of goodness, bone china will either burst of joy or under raw strength of a plant determined to grow. Fine with us, there are plenty of re-potting opportunities and the space has never been so accessible (as life was greatly chaotic a couple of years ago when this beauty of a girl I'm raising could disappear under layers of toys, her most enjoyable activity was to jump on the windowsill (with securely locked windows) and take lead in cheering all games neighborhood children were involved into. Now, there is just not enough head room to be prancing around the sunlit space).

Our garden is growing. Not like crazy and I have finally accepted that it just isn't going to happen in a day but we're happily halfway there, one leaf at a time, deeper shade of green in a matter of weeks in anticipation of a salad or addition to sandwich. I'm a herbivore in my guts and will not hesitate to make it obvious. Nadia had fun planting but was even more enthusiastic to make her creation complete -- once the herb decided to poke its fine necks out, we knew some personalization was in order and green crayons told the full story. Everything we spend time and thought on needs recognition and a hand of a five year old has just the right amount of energy. The kind of hand that will make any object pretty. She has the skills, the day would be lost without working with pens and scissors. But this time she focused on words and specific shapes. And I did on documenting it. x

All she does is grow. And dream big (Legoland is next). I hope it stays this way for years to come.

I thought I would focus on winter sports for a change and upgrade my status in social gatherings but as we all know it takes more than a nice unsteady picture to be taken seriously.

Nadia's chosen choice of activity might be one day possible to make into a career. For now it is an affordable art that inspires and delights. For now, I say...

Feels way better than Christmas, holidays and birthdays. Better than cinema. There is so much power in knowing every single detail of a person and still call their arms the best place to be.

Hair on my face is of less concern than my long lasting love for winter hat collection. Still not giving up. Still not overwhelmed by it.

perfect weekend, little stories, today-my-way-com
Instagram, Instagram magnets, weekend, happy weekend, today-my-way-blog

Finally there's a sign of existence over here! I'm not hibernating, promise. I'm just getting my act together but here, this is what was happening before I stopped overflowing with ideas. x

Cutting my bangs was a major do. I had a fringe at the age of seven so I never really knew the purpose of looking forward to sporting it again, that long time ago it was. Like there were no memories attached to a tangled batch of hair. So I did it and let it grow out completely for the past month allowing it to cover my eyebrows and take over the top lash line before I found the way to a hairdresser. What a weird, wonderful state. Trimming bangs is a fairly simple process, isn't it? It turns out it is not. I ended up with an inch of a fringe gap from the eyebrows and at least a month of figuring out the right decisions how to style it.

If you happen to live in suede in a place that doesn't respect suede, it can be hard. Not good looking and special in any way. So I turned to leather and artificially made material, anything that won't hold water and produce stains. This weather has made me respond this way.

The world looks a lot prettier from the top. Yes, our neighborhood looks fancier from upstairs of a double decker bus we ride to school and back. We rotate our seats with the front row beating all others, we peek into fenced gardens and laugh at the crowds in the heavy rain (sorry!). And we're not too keen on going down the stairs anytime soon.

Am I the only mama wearing hat these days? Have I got no ally on the school playground? How do you decide what is essential and what is just a trend? What is a lightweight option then? Be mindful and help me out here, please.

I love when Damian takes care of us girls. We needed access to the hallway mirror and how could we when there was his enormous bike taking all that space? I disliked the thing since the day it arrived and stayed in there never moving an inch when I needed to adjust a piece of clothing or two. We were not meant to be pals. One morning a while ago I happen to jump in front of the mirror without a slightest trouble using the whole space to swish and turn. It didn't occur to me something was missing. I nearly crushed Damian's ribs in excitement for moving his two wheels to the storage area for winter (so there's no joy when the summer rolls around).

Enjoy the weekend friends, definitely x

ANY LOOK-ALIKE DOLL ENTHUSIASTS OUT THERE?, artistic souls, leisure time, aga plieth
furry hat, look alike dolls, ANY LOOK-ALIKE DOLL ENTHUSIASTS OUT THERE?

It is extremely easy to find pretty dolls for little girls these days - from Barbie to rag dolls, from plastic faces to rice fillings, they're here to love them and break them to figure out what makes them work. Nadia has a small selection of dolls because playing with them is not a big thing on her daily task list yet when we saw this website where a lovely lady creates look alike dolls, the excitement became unbearable. You can opt for the most magnificent accessories as the sewing lady will go over and above to fulfill every request. Despite having a reputation of avoiding playing with dolls, Nadia loved having her mini version for days of fun, something she will not want to change soon.

It takes around eight weeks to create a doll of a particular shape complete with wardrobe staples and a few accessories (we definitely splurged on those!). Every detail is completely thought out to make you gasp or swoon or both. And the finished dolls are pure genius as decoration giving Nadia's space a fun vibe, something only Minnie Mouse is able to cover.

holiday, velvet flowers
the long awaited story, poland
awesome day, flowers, garden, poland

The perks of admiring the views of a well-kept, inviting garden means in short sharing all the work and excitement with everybody involved in creating it. So getting personal resulted in watering the plants with old, rusted equipment that is way fancier than any pink, decorated in daisies watering can, hand-picking last rays of sun in juicy roundness of half-wild grown produce that never made it home (too accessible, too delicious). We never found the balance between the responsible and frivolous, I'm pretty sure this was the reason why we spent so much time hidden behind the tall hedge and mallows slowly being eaten by the army of snails not nearly as interested in next door plants as they were in ours. We spent time catching butterflies, reading, sleeping, talking, listening to the local radio station humming sounds of sorts. And my floral skirt galore I present up close because it felt right to steal some snaps in the presence of natural beauty being seen around.

Hey, and I'm back and I'm loving being back - catching up on your summer, sorting out through stuff I nabbed without guilt on holiday. That little, unintentionally extended silence on the blog was dedicated to things I've neglected crazily like actually finishing reading a book or finishing watching a movie. It is however a total pleasure to write again, resize images and feel you coming and staying. Thank you!

There was nobody to pet and not a soul to chase or run from in delight but still there was lots to do and more. We served as companions for all ideas, weird or subtly disturbing to a parent's heart. And now for the hat that served me well throughout the days of shocking temperatures. It was enough to the soul to get the rays enjoying its journey and stopping just below the black ribbon on the brim but there were times when it was too spontaneous for me to react. So my tan happens because the sky tries so hard. Catches me unprepared and unsuspecting. Not kind, summer.
