SEEING IT, LOVING IT, ENCOURAGING IT

SEEING IT, LOVING IT, ENCOURAGING IT

It's pretty much to ask of a little girl to have her hair a certain way so we don't. Interestingly enough all the layers that grew the way only nature can explain are here to stay, slightly trimmed every quarter and styled according to latest Disney trends. It's more of an adventure now and as a result she turns down all hair accessories, artful braids I was so good at and with carefree attitude embraces messy-chic hairstyle even without teasing or blow drying in the opposite of hair growth direction (although we do it for fun). I do it regularly, skip unnecessary styling and don't always pull it off instantly so it really isn't about practice. Seeing strands of hair peeking out cautiously from behind ears tickling exposed skin on Nadia's neck I realize this has to be taken personally because apart from prying how Rapunzel is styling her roots this is how I've been wearing mine - low ponytail adorned with a simple elastic and a streak of hair dangling optimistically on a surface of my cheek. I'll even go a step further and say that hair should be a little rebellious, preferably styled with a little bit of morning attitude. x
