I still have some photos from our recent trips to Durlston Country Park in Swanage which perfectly capture the seaside we're living at. This sort of view is very far from where I grew up and lived as a teenager, yet it has become so dear to me because of the peacefulness and openness that brings instant relaxation, kindness of people and opportunities it creates. It was surprisingly warm day, the light was appealing and not even Skype could have tied us up to the computer. And as if I wasn't already in love with this place, more features were coming out to greet us - The Globe, restaurant inside stony castle, sun clock. It dosen't take us long to get up here, just one question: 'are we going?' and regulars' status is held intact.
Continuing our motor fascination I'm bringing you a couple of photos from a recent Swanage Classic Car Show as being one third of a male team I'm no doubt for more testosterone filled activities. The day was cloudy and slightly windy but the metallic shine of well-kept vehicles lightened up random car park and its surroundings.
We're almost a step away from summer (English, I should add) and fairs, carnivals, multitude of shows will spread around as chicken pox. They call out to me through posters hung up on the trees and leaflets resting their glossy backs on the counters of local shops.
Since buying a car we are a lot quicker and more independent in our threesome escapades across Dorset so no wonder there are plenty of photos behind the wheel or while smartening up in between the bumps jerking the vehicle. Most of our time spent in the car seems to be either talking, laughing or taking pictures and shopping or exploring the area while out. We are literally moving all the time and I love every minute of this almost unbelievable peaceful time in our lives when work is fun and not colliding in any way with time left for leisure. And we know how to use it.
