WHY IT'S TIME FOR SUMMER TO ACT LIKE ONE
A truly inspiring place. The red hue, washed out blue, peaceful fields admired from all angles, heavily explored, truly loved. Running errands and catching up on much needed zzzz doesn't exist in this household. All you catch up on is everything that may not always be obvious but eyes will definitely find the way to it. I used to believe in postponing my life and its activities until I have reached my goal so I could be ready when the time was right. I hope not any more. I'm here to plan the best for our future and decorate our present, stay here and there at the same time, be happy then and even happier now, do the things we want and plan even more. This has become my religion. I'd love to find the right place for us to settle, breathe and love. A space truly wrapping its arms around us revealing its mysterious spots and people to our hearts' delight. For me this place was a foreign country opening its arms in a welcoming pose. It’s not always been rosy and stress-free but I cannot imagine breathing different air and stomping on other soil. I love my tiny space in a country I have chosen to settle down and will always come back to places I was raised in - my heart is happily divided.

As to our little life together, we have to start doing it right. I want to own a house at some point in my life: spacious bedrooms, big green garden with a fountain in front of the entrance. My place on earth but... at the moment I’d love to rent a pleasant, bright and warm end of terrace house with nice size rooms and access onto rear garden to feel private enough to go there in my sweat pants or without them (whichever feels more comfortable), engage myself in many ways in bringing our little space to life through personal assignments of wall painting and furniture arranging.

Depressingly related: we used to have sun around this latitude and walked to the beach. Don’t get me wrong but mid-July has never been so worryingly damp around here. It has rained for most of the week and of all the things in the world to be done in such weather hosting visitors is only slightly amusing. Our landlords are away but invited their friend with his Italian girlfriend to keep us company for a couple of days. Of course emotional chaos doesn't help socializing but it will be okay. I mean, how could it not be?

  1. No matter how much you love a place, if it's not yours - you'll always look for that nook that knocks you off your feet and become your place on earth. I'm certain we'll find it one day...

    1. I guess you have to love what you have and what we've had so far is so so worth loving. However I can't wait to get my hands dirty revamping and getting to know our own four walls (maybe stairs, too). It will happen. I know it. xx
