BIRTHDAY BOYS AND THEIR GIRLS

May is one of those months when I love to cuddle unnaturally much. One person only. And organize a surprise party complete with bottle of champagne, chocolate cake (not pictured but tasted really well with sparkles, believe me), muffin mini-candle-stand, people jumping out of bedroom shouting 'surprise!' on top of their voices (highly pitched girlie sounds included). Because this man of mine turns a whooping thirty four unknowingly dragging me along with him in this year of birthdays (there are still plenty ahead!). But that's just great with me as I couldn't imagine anyone else posing next to me on the last photo, neither anyone sharing this little space we call home. So I wanted to make it as 'wow' as possible and came up with an idea of cutting little hearts from red cardboard, writing cute messages and hiding them in more or less visible places for Dee to have a little peak around (out of 34 only 4 hearts not found, let's be honest my hiding things skills are rubbish). Hunting through coming to life closet I have chosen navy blouse with a heart made of zillions of studs and paired it with sticking with me for good and bad blue o'l jeans. Birthday boy came straight from work so didn't have a chance to get changed among those incredibly whimsical activities (of which taking over party table was his best)

Food consisted of cheese crackers eaten with selection of cheese (erm... yes), smoked salmon and cucumber, popcorn and lots of bubbly. There aren't many photos of our children in this post as they took over the job of redecorating our bedroom. I'm sure they wanted it to look grander and super cool. There may be some tricks to achieve more interesting perspective out there but none of them compares to our kids' imagination. Even the largest of spaces appear tinier than they possibly are with the content of drawers being distributed around by little hands. Once they nailed the decor everything else fell into place ;)

It was so much fun to be partying with such wonderful people. Cheers!!
