IT NIBBLES OUR CHEEKS AND STARTS ON THE EARS

As you can probably guess by the look on her face, Nadia was enjoying rides up and down the hill before it got too cold to stay safely outdoors. Even layered thick with cotton and wool we were so unaware we're actually not winter people. Within minutes we ran up the steep path in one rolling motion, Nadia laughed as I groaned how much there was to push and then I was standing, whining, wishing I'd worn warmer tights, railing at the cold making my fingers clumsy. Once home she promptly fell asleep on the sofa while I was trying to reclaim the movement of my fingers on the keyboard. I kept looking over my shoulder at the breathing blanket with a socked foot sticking out and disturbing my writing but I could keep doing so even realizing I haven't written much. We'll go out again tomorrow passing most of the alleyways before we stop to eat sweet buns and flash sympathetic smile at a squirrel holding totally intact nut then cracking it open before our eyes. We'll go as far as we can bear this cold ;)

How do you keep warm these unthinkably chilly days? x

THROUGH THIS CITY AND BACK
THROUGH THIS CITY AND BACK

This bike obsession began way back in the early summer months when two wheels of a scooter were all that was available for tiny rider. Other kids had shiny bikes loved to the raw metal already and she could see them whooshing past us on many occasions but couldn't actually experience the feeling of enjoying her own. Then weeks towards the end of the summer season our neighbour's daughter lent Nadia her girly four wheels for a ride or two and since then nothing mattered in terms of entertainment. Risk taken, wind in blonde locks remembered and the loud laughter admits bike riding is the most exciting she's ever felt. So we went on a mission to half-surprise Nadia with her very own, very pink one. It involved an hour of self-assembly with helping hands of us girls but the minute those princesses peeked out of the box... well, don't I just love her? She knows how to celebrate, show the excitement, gasp throughout the dream coming true.

Happy fourth birthday, my dear baby. Enjoy your adventures! xxx

English weather can kill the mood sometimes so you have to outpace it by making the most of the sunniest of days. One never knows how soon we shall see the bright skies. So we packed things up as if we were going away for a week and headed off to countryside to have a picnic on the grass. I'm so excited to be sharing what we overdid (ball games and freesbie to start with) and who accompanied us for the entire Mad Hatter day!

It started off fabulously with picnic only crumbs of bread were left as a result. Because spring sandwiches with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and pepper thrilled the eyes and exhausted from badminton bodies had to satisfy their craving. Relaxed feel, fresh air and sunshine stimulated our next activity of running, cycling, playing football until there was no breath left. As kids quickly adjust to the scenery looking for some sneaking out, we decided to pack our belongings, use our men as carriers and walked trails of lawn afterwards loosing track of time. Felt like we were a million miles away from nearest town! While the boys got into their own dialogue I chatted with my sister-in-law about recent more and less important things (with less important being over talked about). Due to our busy work schedules we tend to see each other on far too less occasions, I definitely want more so girlie night out in mind for sure. Melody is much younger then me (let's not concentrate on that part of the story ;) but we get on really well sharing similar views on parenting and fashion (I admire her black and white styling moods) and not so identical on hair styles but I couldn't be happier with anyone else in tow. Nadia loved every minute of the sweaty adventure playing with her cousins tirelessly (after first half an hour of trying to posses every piece of equipment we took along not allowing anyone to put a hand on them). Nothing’s better than days like today. Or maybe a little bit more of them.

Used of all our energy we became hungrier than we could cope so delicious grilled chicken and chips at Nando's saved the evening. You need so little else when tummies are full and fabulous people sit around. Thank you guys for a fun time to remember!

♥ It's Damian's birthday today!!! Happy thirty something, baby! ♥
