ON LESS THAN FRIENDLY TERMS WITH THE MOON

at the beach
SPORTING NEW GEAR
Black & white shirt: Mango, cardigan: Atmosphere, jeans, boots: H&M
I think I find it a bit overwhelming. Not the rate at which the weather changes or new horizontal lines I tend to wake up to every year or even bank's interest rates that shift dramatically when the interest-free period is finally waved up for me to weep at. It all kind of transforms the vibe of a particular time as I'm sure I highly depend on the way the wind blows yet this is not what I'm planning to disclose. It's simply how quickly a thing can drag me up from a darkest place and put me straight in it without a thoughtful consideration. I haven't felt that emotional in a decade, thrilled and low, buzzing with excitement then intensively displaying complicated emotions. It makes me equally feel most alive and drenched to the bones. Today alone I felt it a couple of times with only a short transitional period between the range of emotional outcomes and finally sitting down to write has done me enough good to stay sane. I have to admit I've injected enough sugar and processed food into my diet to start experiencing its questionable magic. And if you ask me if my vegan adventure is far and forgotten, I'm telling you politely - I have a weak spot for all things organic but making it work my way has influenced such dramatic outcomes. After a month of a successful cleanse I know it is fabulous enough to make me wanna continue, day in, day out, home or on vacation, wherever my daring self will go. One step at a time, sometimes two, always in the right direction.

Or else it is the power of a full moon peering into all windows closely viewing my confused emotions. For no good reason and without a good explanation. Join in to help me figure it out.

To stay on a brighter side I'll concentrate on positive things and the weather which is getting more satisfying with every hour. June is just around the corner so not wasting any minute I'll leave to plan a lot of activities from getting to know our seaside more with every visit to learning how to drive. May, I am satisfied with you. xxx

A TOUR ROUND MY INNER NEIGHBOURHOOD

A TOUR ROUND MY INNER NEIGHBOURHOOD
Sweater, handbag: H&M, pencil skirt: George, Shoes: Autograph

"I wake up at 5.00 o'clock every day apart from weekends as by staying in bed a bit longer we celebrate this special morning followed by a family breakfast in the winter garden or outdoors in a backyard. As the master bedroom is facing the wildest part of the surroundings - getting up and having Mother Nature in her most amazing form of earthy miracles inspires me to live the day to the full. I look over to the other side of the king size bed to find my snoring husband pleasantly tucked in the silky sheets while two black noses are pushing the door to greet me by wagging their tails and demanding to be let out care freely. They are my black and white Labrador dogs: Figa and Toffi. I let them run outside and tip toe upstairs to my children’s bedrooms just to find them peacefully dreaming their dreams. Enhanced with the best possible view in human’s world - I head to the kitchen to put a kettle on and while the water is getting ready for a morning cup of green tea, I wash my face and brush the teeth. Half an hour later I sit down in my office to perform: write books, novels, my diary, read, study, burn through ideas. Before 7.30 my woman’s nature is coming out of the shower with its body brushed, massaged, creamed and generally pampered to the last cell. When the time comes for the rest of the family to show up, I tend to be ready for the day with a light make up and hair nicely tied up. There’s nothing better than breakfast in the atmosphere of rush, laughter and radio music.
Every parent is dreading these two words: school run so either heading there, to the nursery or simple playground - time and good organization is the key. If it’s raining, wind blows the hats off or one cannot stop sun rays from penetrating the skin, we don’t skip our outdoor activities. Back home for lunch prepared from fresh and high quality ingredients, then catching up with the latest children books, games and discussions of the mysterious world around us. I make phone calls and arrange appointments, check finances because financial freedom gives me piece of mind and maintains regular blood pressure. As the day progresses into the mature afternoon, there is still a chance to effortlessly implement the wildest ideas into the doing with humor and zest. Dance class, swimming pool or bike ride? Yes, please! The best time of the day? Supper time with everyone talking over each other putting their little hands out to reach the food, laughing and creating silly arguments. A chaos worth living for. With an invisible force pushing the clock’s hands forward I try to hit the gym and when little eyelids start to melt, we get into the bedtime routine of a bath, story reading and cuddling in beds."

I wrote this a few or so years ago when I started reading about Secret and visualized things so so ahead of time. I finally got to share the full yearning of my heart along with pictures taken last week that kind of enhance the vision of a small fenced-in front of the house. And the tree blooming in pink as a cherry on the cake! Some of it is a work in progress (fenced property, I fell in love with you before I even met you), part of it has happened and continues to delight my days. It's never finished, I'll never think I'm done having it lived my way. xx

What do you say seeing so much gray in one place? Yes, darker colours are always a pleasure to team up with... to some extent. They will be a leading theme for the next month and you can observe the glory. I'm not happy with the direction my closet is heading, that's for sure. I immediately reach for new catalogues, bookmark more grayish delight to suffer over account that is being stretched out to impossible amounts and is not getting back in shape no matter how hard I try. I will take advantage of this space and snap outfits upon outfits that might get my approval or will end up inappropriately hung up behind closed door. I admit I have loved witnessing my chest of drawers filling up crazily any given morning, a Tuesday, rain or fog, I loved excitedly open up boxes and quickly put together long awaited pieces on a bony collar and a curve of hips. I swallowed without chewing, I smoked without inhaling but nobody was able to help me figure it out. Things fit but not every piece was adjustable, some added length but had no option to guarantee an easy movement, many felt right to see the world from my shoulders but I haven't been wearing them as often as I thought I would be. And right now accessible, comfortable and right for my guts is what I need for my crazy plan. I itch for being able to throw on things that will miraculously go along together just as I itch for a hair makeover but that's a story for tomorrow. I need a good look at what I'm swiftly growing out of loving or accepting especially in the open-front-of-a-jacket season.

I see my friend once and forever, H&M is advertising sustainability and conscious buying campaign and that makes me - high expectations girl terribly happy. I don't want to consume my pieces, I want to enjoy them for longer than I can take credit for and donate them when they're no longer nowhere near my most favourite. I demand longevity of my clothes and quality over quantity instead. I really don't mind showing up in something tenth time in a row if I know how to style it up perfectly using only a couple of key pieces. You know, the way those key pieces are ready for me. It will be fun to meet them, until then I hope I'll have the time of my life with this project - 31 pieces for the next four weeks. I'll have no idea where it gets me but having fun with it is a must. H&M is committed to provide fashion for conscious customers - reduce, reuse, recycle is the direction they go. They say you can wear their sustainable materials and love them for many years but if you don't you can leave them at any of their store and they'll give it a new life. I'm on board.

Anyway, enjoy my over-exposed closet and have a blast of a weekend! xx

14/30 - WE WERE DOING TODAY AND SOME DAYS TOO

I have two choices as each day unfolds - I either dare or do nothing at all where the second option happens to be less terrifying and fulfilling therefore less attractive. I like both adjectives equally so think activities that are followed up realistically with ideas that were sparked most erratically. Is it always cold and raining sideways in February, March, April and May so finding inspiration indoors with various suggestion combos has been supporting our actions.

A random day out of a sleeve of randomness around here of being behind on things and tackling things that make us exceedingly happy together with all other things we have to go along with is brought to you as part of my blogging challenge (are you still with me on this bit? I kinda thought I'm not with myself on it anymore but guess what, slightly behind but fighting). What was I doing today? What were we up to hours ago and some days too? Let me show you around... x

It was quite a wonderful month, full to porcelain brim with amazing tastes ranging from ones I've never tried in my life to well known but approached from a different angle. This colourful spectrum of natural produce I hardly had to convince myself to savor kept my tongue eager for more. Each picture comes with its story - thriving from a mistake (I added cornflour instead of corn to my chickpea patties), burnt side of a hand, indigestion I kept my culinary interests in a right place. I cheated too. The second week Damian decided to whip a dangerous amount of scrambled eggs with bacon and there was an equal share of it for the three of us that outshone my vegan efforts. I inhaled all the meat cooking fumes whenever I got a chance but appreciated my little journey through healthier options more because each recipe in the 30-day cleanse was a delicious combination of what my taste buds understand and what they are aching to try. Will you believe if I say my devotion to sugar faded the minute it wasn't allowed on a recipe? It disappeared and hasn't been renewed since. I crave sugar, don't be fooled I've lost all my sweet veneers however they've been taken care of the less processed way: dried fruit, fresh fruit, drop of honey played the part. Am I expert in vegan eating? Heck no! I'm just sharing what I'm learning along this crazy adventure. I've done it, completed my cleanse but you can't be in a beginner's phase forever, right? I have a few ideas in mind, brace yourselves - a recipe even! and will continue to share it with you. Whether you're into plant based cuisine or are heavy on the meat, do tell me your thoughts on food. I'd love to hear it! xxx

BLOG CRUSH: OHDEARDREA
Hi! Did I tell you I'm addicted? To cuddles and glucose but mostly to pixels and HTML. In other words following a blog (or more than five) makes up one tenth of my daily routine. I've compiled some of my favourite photos from a blog I would love to begin my morning rambling with. I wasn't introduced to Drea's world recently, I have been visiting her for a long time not really minding my own business by staying for too long and commenting on many posts. As cool as a game of visiting other blogs is this particular site never disappointed me in content and regularity of posting being a gently medicine to my insomnia. Everyday events shared through photos and stories, all hilariously funny, magical, sad, inspirational in every way taking up most of my spare time with ease. Is that even possible? Surprises I’m never over with. We're different in many ways, so similar in most - blogging mamas full of creative juices whether they happen to simmer in the kitchen or sealing a good deal, raising pretty awesome little girls or princesses or ladybirds or whoever they want to be at a time. Her site is definitely starving soul's friendly - you will not find meat there but if you're after natural occurring sugars you'll be more than pleased. I just couldn't drool any longer and jumped on the plant based bandwagon giving my kitchen utensils tasks they've longed for for generations. Clever, passionate mama constantly on the go mode has reorganized my life in many little ways. So if you're local or just browsing, do stop at ohdeardrea that nestles next to South Florida's best spots and happens to be my favourite. But that's what you already know :)

<< All the gently saturated photos underneath the ones of a high contrast are taken from Drea's website and authorized to be used for the purpose of allowing me to take part in a competition with Currys PC World to win all-in-one PC (even my old laptop thinks I need something that is more functional and just a tad to be taken notice of. HP Rove I'm talking to you.) >>

So this is my light load for Friday. What's yours? Don't forget to check Currys competition! xx
