12/30 - SENSE OF WONDER AT THE CRACK OF DAWN
Close your eyes. Think of a time when you were very, very happy. Now tell us about it.
I'd love to tell you about the happiest time in my life. I'm sure I had such. I'm sure I'd love to go back to savour it. But I'm not really going to. Instead I'll tell you about the happiest times in my life waking up to bright eyes at the crack of dawn. Sandwiched between the two of us in a restricted space on the cotton sheet lets me bask in her early glow. I waited a long time for that conscious little-sleepy little-dreamy stare on her sitting up on the bed to find herself back in our dozed off presence feeling comforted and falling back asleep with her hands on our upper limbs. I just can't get over the idea of starting the day any other way. Ending it other way. It's pretty great to know that on opening my eyes I'm presented with this face, this smile. Uninterruptedly. x

ReplyDeleteIt's always fun and play no matter what we do, isn't it? And a little mess I have add but who would worry about that? ;)
DeleteBeautiful post. I think that the happiest moment in the life of many people must be the time when they became parents and for me when i became an aunt.
