PRACTICAL SIDE OF FUN, todaymyway.com
learning, drawing, school girl, books, todaymyway.com

Finding an activity we all enjoy is easy. Making it the one a single person has fun with can take a while so I'm thrilled when books and notebooks get their use without me even knowing. They get pulled out on regular basis whether it'll be a lonesome or group activity. Nadia keeps shifting from one idea to another so seeing her turning some pages is all thumbs up. We don't read too often but the few but so good books in our possession are the best by far. Her reading skills are in progress where joy and challenges go hand in hand but it works surprisingly well with her telling the stories through images and pictures and I love stopping in my tracks, dropping what I'm doing to witness how she's building her imagination through lonesome activities.

Writing is mostly a group occupation that never fails to bring both excitement and restlessness to the table. She is such a dedicated learner with her pen pressed so hard it leaves marks on the other side of page, her tongue slightly sticking out while concentrating on dots and lines. The best part is, it's completely enjoyable with the company of a girl I adore and lasts as long as we're in abundance of ideas and/or patience. Some numbers come out as their mirror reflection occasionally (one and five being the most popular of the lot) and we're unstoppable to keep practicing drawing them the right way. Those moments seem to be super addictive. And they'll continue to be for days to come. x

SERIOUS ARTIST EXPLODES
SERIOUS ARTIST EXPLODES

Looking at the amount of drawings and paintings collected over time it feels like we spend time doing nothing else than draw and paint around here which is mostly true. And such pleasurable activity if things don't get glued to surfaces that shouldn't get decorated homemade-style. It lifts my spirits knowing a plain sheet of paper gives Nadia more options that Lego bricks or Barbie's closet can (and those as you know don't fail to entertain). Most recent artwork gets hung impressively on the fridge or the side of the wardrobe in her bedroom and each and every sheet has been a loved addition to the growing pile. We kept it in a colourful folder so when the time came to make the treasured possessions more accessible, Nadia couldn't contain her excitement seeing her work once again. She could easily recall the creatures captured in ink and I loved catching up with the princesses phrase and just recently - dogs wearing crowns phrase. We made a decision to put it all in a book - choose the contents lovingly, bind it professionally and cherish eternally. It was more than fun and as long as Nadia's creativity thrives, I'm all in.

There are lots of different ways to create lasting impression as a customer. The trick here is to be friends with the shop owner or vary unusual requests.

And that's material for another book, we know we'll be there soon ;)

FAIRYTALE HIDEAWAY - NADIA'S ROOM TOUR
FAIRYTALE HIDEAWAY - NADIA'S ROOM TOUR
^^ There are books in two languages and dolls available to play with in all kinds of circumstances. Recently it's been the meteorological kind. ^^

This space is the most uplifting and magical within any distance. Corners gradually filled with colour and texture as we were never in a hurry to finish it, it still calls for a little desk and a chair to acommodate so the recent updates are not final. But is a room ever finished? It's also pretty thrilling not knowing what we're gonna create. The abundance of pink, touch of green and Disney royalty was added through all kinds of collaborations: shopping sprees, birthdays, unplanned surprises. Lots of really great stuff I like keep adding to in respectable time manner. OK, let's proceed before someone removes me forcibly from the computer.

^^ It's all about telling stories these days and Nadia mastered her role-play voices in no time. She'll even tell you something interesting about colouring book. I believe her. ^^

^^ There aren't many hanging decorations happening in Nadia's bedroom as we need to keep holes to a painful minimum but these are the kinds of items we swear by until we get our hands on own plaster (favourite heroine and a calendar because that's the most popular options when you're restricted). ^^

Hey ho as they say
you keep reading

I caused a sensation today. I crawled into bed unnoticed holding digitally unrecognized object and stayed this way for a good fifteen minutes until I was found by the rest of the household. Yes, I've read a chapter! In weeks, months even and my Amazon's account can testify. You see there's not many things that are so therapeutic and relaxing for me than slipping into bed with bound pages in hand. Ideally for more than fifteen minutes at a time. Also our way of life just isn't reading adult stuff friendly and books are rather last-minute treats before midnight or extinct species. With Nadia's approval I hope I can begin reading revolution again.

Do you remember my 30 day blogging challenge? It sits at the back of my head and I'd love to continue it while figuring out outfits and adding numbers to our already gone-bonkers fridge magnet collection. So on day five (plus minus two weeks) the challenge brings 'the best book(s) I have ever read and a book that I really want to read'. I don't need time on this one. Of all positions that have acquired smudges of my fingerprints 'The devil in the flesh' by Raymond Radiguet scandalously turned me into an admirer of adolescent irresponsible love games so not mentioning 'Lolita' by Vladimir Nabokov or Marcel from Proust's masterpiece would be regrettable. I owe them a debt of taking people without editing and not giving age rights to overtake emotions. And the one I want to read? Anyone I can finish, haha! Have a great day my lovelies.

P. S. I've joined Instagram yesterday night so if you want to check the gallery of what's been snapped with my fancy phone (before I hit the sixth photo) or follow me - check out the plugin to the top right. You may begin now. x
