MORE PIZZA, LESS EVERYTHING ELSE

The word of today is... tonsillitis. Where did it come from, how did it make it? Not a slightest idea but the experience is beyond measure. But in my opinion you'd rather read about pizza, definitely. Pizza is actually a rare occasion on our table, but then again who needs an explanation for having one? Made by your own floury fingers and designed to the last olive? Nadia was celebrating her friend's birthday by being invited to pizza making class. How fun. How people find out about those things? There are so many going on around I might start searching ideas for October already. But the pizza... As I wasn't present those yummy pictures make me kind of excited, possibly too excited seeing Nadia devouring a slice of her own creation. Four cherry tomatoes, four slices of ham, five strings of pepper and one slice of mushroom seems to be the lucky formula. It was good, said Damian finishing it. I can only dream.

As for my tonsillitis, it knocked me out for a whole week. Wasn't approached just right as my doctor thought I wouldn't need any antibiotic so left me only with a mouthwash. Holy ferret! But somehow or another it had to be treated, I have only one life and that life is meant to be lived so I was back for my dose of pills. I got them, yeah, why not, my tonsils were already inflamed. I'll spare you the drama and say my diet is slowly getting back to solids but not sour just yet (no apple, orange, anything that has flavour too). I really have realistic vision for my tongue to be able to appreciate my efforts and win the battle.
I hope you had more exciting week, friends! x

Nadia's choice of ingredients is possibly my favourite so far. Only more olives pops into my head.
MORE PIZZA, LESS EVERYTHING ELSE
She's a unicorn at the moment and sometimes Rapunzel, depends on the amount of the amazingness required. And dresses herself without a hint from me, walking into the living room with that triumphant smile on her face: Look mummy, I've just taken this top out from underneath them all. So worth it!

THIRTY SOMETHING'S THOUGHTS ON PARTYING

Going out is fun and addictive, I don't think you ever really stop. So here's my situation. Before going out the last thing your best-going-out pants have on their stretchy mind is to eat. Even if you are going to have a small portion. Eaten in a jiffy. Because chips from down the road will speed up the getting ready process but really how many is enough? On a big night... I’d say it’s different for each design. You’ll always eat with confidence, denim or not, textural or safe, most especially if you’re not into collecting phone numbers. Everything will be forgiven after midnight.

Dress on a night out always spoke to me loud. They feel feminine, catch all the dizzy eyes, sometimes they’re just all that you need on. Trousers on the other hand... Could they happen and work? Even if my inner sex bomb protested, the outside conditions were saying otherwise. It’s freezing and I’m working the next day so no, I don’t really fancy coming down with something already fought two weeks ago. So denim jeans and long-sleeved chiffon top were put together. And it felt right. My new very favourite outfit was painlessly conceived. But that’s not the end of your favourite story. I don’t really specialize in moves on the dancefloor without frilly fabric dancing with me. What one does with hands, how one handles that nothing blows up? The thought was terribly unsatisfying. Until I realized you basically do it the same. If you want to. Move is a move, hip shake still a cute option to get everyone talking, no point feeling less special living the dream in pants. I’ll keep it in mind next time I make such dramatic choice.

When you hear ‘Black and white’ by Michael Jackson in the club you thank your mum and dad for getting together just so you always recognize this song. Way cooler when you’re mostly surrounded by folk half your age available for a spin. What more could you need? And it’s not even three in the morning. Also a bit of Elvis will never let you down.

Is it just me or it is a classic move to try fellow dancer’s hat on for extra bit of a situation? I’ll let you not to answer. Cause it might be just me. Or the Elvis. Or both.

So you go partying. And forget the door key. And this time you’re not going wild as you would after grocery shopping. Nostalgic, that’s how it feels. Cause this is the feeling we all know and recognize. Pause for a minute and start texting and calling. Banging helps too. x

CROSSING OVER TO THE DARK SIDE

CROSSING OVER TO THE DARK SIDE

Just making it short and exciting for the weekend with two photos from my recent fabulous birthday night out with great bunch of people celebrating appearance of new crow's feet on my face. You can't fully see my dark brown hair (although the poor lighting adds intrigue to the colour) which I need to get used to but I didn't want to go down the lighter route. So now I am like a sponge taking as many compliments as just the opposite but I'm fine with that. I like variety. When going out, some nights I favour glam feminine look, other nights (let's start counting and it still will be a one digit number) a rock'n'roll kind of vibe. Dress is always my pick but the thought of sharpening the look a bit can't fade away recently. As for the underwear I needed something to lift and sculpt a bit as a middle aged woman should do and it did the job fantastically! I can't praise it enough, it's instant mood (and other bits) lifter if you will. Take my word of wisdom and unearth possibilities that you didn't ever think possible in a tiny piece of fabric. When the night turned to dawn we melded seamlessly with the world asleep for a good few hours. A little older, a little wiser... Back to normal. x

IN PICTURES
^^ I've spied with my smartphone eye a toddler willing on taking roads less traveled by. The most interesting areas have no straight paths and more leafless trees then others. Find us there. Always. ^^
IN PICTURES
^^ How to care for the delicate world within: lots of sleep and cuddly friends. ^^
IN PICTURES
^^ Make your room a playpen, your house a playground... simply learning from these two, Nadia and her cousin and best friend of four years ^^
IN PICTURES
^^ Stash of my seaside photos is mounting - at least you're well stocked for the next three years ;) ^^
IN PICTURES
^^ It's hard to go wrong with a bit of chocolate and tons of sprinkles or any variation like it. ^^
IN PICTURES
^^ The experience outweighed our senses - didn't mind the cold late evening when the sky was talking. ^^
IN PICTURES
^^ Everyday journey of discovery... for both parties involved but way too tangible for Nadia by looking at her awed face. ^^

IN PICTURES
^^ A subject so dear to her heart, mind and closet - all that is layered in pink and makes a beautiful sense. ^^
IN PICTURES
^^ How do we occupy ourselves? Can't really seem to maintain one activity for very long - tea parties and sweets tasting is just the beginning of an eventful day. ^^

^^ The sun was bleak, the hydrangeas were in bloom. I'll go anywhere you take me. ^^
IN PICTURES
^^ You look beautiful in early autumn sun, Miss N. You really do. ^^
IN PICTURES
^^ Making friends, fully and completely. Anywhere and everywhere seeking adventure. Most likely her best years. ^^

IN PICTURES
^^ Nobody panics anymore at the location minion meets his princess. And other toy dates happening in odd kind of places. I guess, we're all friends now. ^^

IN PICTURES
^^ Sometimes cartoon watched from this perspective is far more interesting. ^^

IN PICTURES
^^ I know nothing about hats - what to wear with them, on which occasion? It didn't stop me from buying one though. What's next? Don't push your luck, fancy umbrella stores. ^^

IN PICTURES
^^ So many beautiful clothes and oddities out there in need of a home. Just recently started noticing them. Too late? It's never too late... ^^

IN PICTURES
^^ Pre-autumn cartoon screenings with a happy toddler. Starts 3pm till supper time, August-mid September. All welcome. ^^

COLOUR IS THE STARTING POINT

I managed to make it through my adulthood in black eye pencil and black mascara if you don't count an occasional brown eyeshadow or eye liner. Should I be panicking? I've never been an experimentalist in areas which worked the way I liked, I stuck to tested routine... and admired it on others. For a long time I haven't gotten excited over clothes or nail varnish respectively, I have my hair done once or twice a year (now that I'm growing it out I've put the scissors down for even longer). Somehow I've worked not much of a change into my appearance over the years and not surprisingly the major issues grew in me over time until I've gotten to the point I wanted to work some magic on what I've got with both enjoyment and embarrassment so excuse my limited experience in that matter. There is a reason to all that safe neglect (remind me to tell you another time) but not acquiescence anymore.

So when my skilled friend suggested to perform something out of my comfort zone on my eye lids: lots of sparkly turquoise and green, I happily obliged. I didn't follow it throughout of course but enjoyed every step of brush swipe near my tear ducts or under the brows. I will try to recreate the look realizing it will take a little bit work to get it right and being soo intense I'd fear everybody will look JUST at me! But never mind, two day trip is all I can think about at the moment so a little practice is needed to achieve at least half of my friend's efforts. It was really fun, I'd recommmend it if you want to do something amusing one evening. x

COLOUR IS THE STARTING POINT
^^ Like mother, like daughter - Nadia's eyelids also enjoyed a lot of attention from my friend's eyeshadow palette. Didn't want to wash it off before bed. I'm raising a girlie girl, what can I say... :) ^^

GLAMOUR WITHIN REACH
GLAMOUR WITHIN REACH

Soon, me and my friend Aga will have not only matching lifestyles and habits but nails too. She has introduced me to nail art in which she’s way too good to compete with but slowly my inner artist opens up for dotting tools, stickers and glitter. I’m pretty certain shimmery gems are the last thing I expect to see on my nails on a daily basis but occasional creativity progressing into mandatory play with colours and shapes (mastered it since the birth of my muffin) will be a fantastic addition to my life. Wait until my next attempt being worth every damaged stud and liter of nail polish remover.

GLAMOUR WITHIN REACH
Have a fabulous weekend and come back to have a peak on our new adventures, outfits (in two sizes respectively) and thoughts. We were busy on all fronts! x

WHILE THE JUICE REMAINS UNPROCESSED
WHILE THE JUICE REMAINS UNPROCESSED
WHILE THE JUICE REMAINS UNPROCESSED
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Or don't do anything drastic to the fruit and intend to be silly for a while because the yellow roundness lying around as juicy decoration was simply asking to be picked up, squeezed, shaken and played with to a serious concern of passers-by. There's rarely an activity, escapade or idea I have to persuade my friend to (I'm quite spontaneous so we're match made in downtown heaven). We jump right in, each for a different taste of discovery varying the destinations for interest and fun (gimme more lemons). Whilst visiting Salisbury Cathedral our day wasn't limited to the sacred air and variations on our echoing voices. Once we stepped out to venture the fields and ice cream flavours there were crowds around us, assorted houses, vibrant colours sun recommended from every angle, Nadia staying one jump ahead of us on streets full of character where medieval meets modern and toddler meets public (kids stores).

WHILE THE JUICE REMAINS UNPROCESSED
^^ Sticks to what Nadia does best, with people she likes most ;) ^^

^^ It's almost inappropriate to admit I'm exposing my legs for the first time this summer! Hitting you with their low pigmentation and high level of goosebumps. Still.in this.weather. I give up. Also you'll never fail to spark curiosity in little mind. ^^
WHILE THE JUICE REMAINS UNPROCESSED
^^ Almost sub-zero temperature places of worship have always overwhelmed me the good explorer's way. I'm finely tuned to tired grey stone, fresh in all the right places watermarks of time resumed underneath my strappy wedges. How do you feel about old churches and castles, their place on the paths of your journeys? ^^

^^ Nadia's favourite kind of day, favourite kind of food. My favourite kind of life :) ^^

^^ Speaking of kids stores, thrift stores, markets, easy access shelves plentiful in goods with unintentionally omitted price tags, Nadia seems to be in the process of getting inspired just by a touch, a glimpse even. I love how by just looking at her finds you pretty much know their hers (whether they make it home or not. So quite understandably some thoughts on a toddler in consumer wonderland are calling). ^^
WHILE THE JUICE REMAINS UNPROCESSED

Hello, yellow! Do you like the enhanced hues on bold coloured areas for more energizing purposes? I tried it waaay back here and was enticed again by lovely Taza spreading photography tips and ideas about lifting colours in Photoshop for more vibrant outcome (you have to admit her yellow always resembles ripe lemons or primroses in full bloom, I can't possibly decide).

'I want this at home'
Reading everything that's important

It's amazing how beautiful things grow just behind our backs. I almost pass these incredible 10 acres of gardens traveling to work yet has never wandered around them, investigated each part of muscular features of statues such as Bacchus or the Wrestlers of Herculaneum and breathed in the mature pine wood. Until yesterday. The morning started off with a light packing for a trip to Compton Acres, a home of themed gardens of which - as for a shade only tolerant person - my favourite one was called Wooded Valley with winding pathways and dramatic waterfalls. My eyes also enjoyed an idyllic Japanese spot where together with Nadia we fed fish, jumped on the stones dipped in deep water and ran up and down the rhododendron-clad hills. I'm still overwhelmed by how full of energy Nadia was and how an amazing time she had feeding salmon-looking-like fish almost jumping out of water to get a bread crumb.

To end the day me and my friend got to buy the same book where and when to go for our future escapades and planned some autumn activities before the colder season hugs British Islands again.
