TEMPORARILY INSPIRING
Eyes get used to to the familiar view way too eagerly and mouths desperately seek favourite tastes so getting a thrill of spending a month in my home country seemed like a great idea to get lazy, soak up the early rays of summer sun, eat good portions of garden-bred fruit and nab a few things that are beyond my grasp on the British soil. Thanks for joining us on our almost 24 hour drive across Europe savoring the view of sleepy towns and villages from the wound down windows while getting a side-sunburn. Rubbing our eyes sleepily for the rest of our journey was too sorry to capture so the first thing we did after getting out of the moving home was throwing ourselves into the arms of our beds. The next day in Damian's parents' allotment garden made for lots of tasty and colourful images you'll find in another post.

I've been wanting to explore more the old, thousand year old castle that we tend to pass by on our way to next big town and not just peeking from underneath the hill but actually get the ticket and walk through the stone gate that loses against its weight, soil movements, heat and rain.

The Keep of Corfe Castle was built as a highly-visible symbol of status, power and authority serving as fortress, residence, treasury and prison, now still overwhelms with the silent power it once had but also brings some sadness at a thought as to what have become of the things far behind us. It once was a home teeming with life and laughter, tears and labour. Seeing it so unnaturally fragile, snapping pictures felt almost like uncovering its wounds. But whatever's been said, there's still life there, cows graze beneath the hilltop, daisies lean onto the cold bricks. And we will be back for sure.

I still have some photos from our recent trips to Durlston Country Park in Swanage which perfectly capture the seaside we're living at. This sort of view is very far from where I grew up and lived as a teenager, yet it has become so dear to me because of the peacefulness and openness that brings instant relaxation, kindness of people and opportunities it creates. It was surprisingly warm day, the light was appealing and not even Skype could have tied us up to the computer. And as if I wasn't already in love with this place, more features were coming out to greet us - The Globe, restaurant inside stony castle, sun clock. It dosen't take us long to get up here, just one question: 'are we going?' and regulars' status is held intact.

TRANSPORTED TO THE OLDEN DAYS

TRANSPORTED TO THE OLDEN DAYS

Continuing our motor fascination I'm bringing you a couple of photos from a recent Swanage Classic Car Show as being one third of a male team I'm no doubt for more testosterone filled activities. The day was cloudy and slightly windy but the metallic shine of well-kept vehicles lightened up random car park and its surroundings.

We're almost a step away from summer (English, I should add) and fairs, carnivals, multitude of shows will spread around as chicken pox. They call out to me through posters hung up on the trees and leaflets resting their glossy backs on the counters of local shops.

HAVE YOU RESERVED YOUR SEAT?
HAVE YOU RESERVED YOUR SEAT?
HAVE YOU RESERVED YOUR SEAT?

Since buying a car we are a lot quicker and more independent in our threesome escapades across Dorset so no wonder there are plenty of photos behind the wheel or while smartening up in between the bumps jerking the vehicle. Most of our time spent in the car seems to be either talking, laughing or taking pictures and shopping or exploring the area while out. We are literally moving all the time and I love every minute of this almost unbelievable peaceful time in our lives when work is fun and not colliding in any way with time left for leisure. And we know how to use it.

Bournemouth is really a tourist town with plenty to see and even more to come back to the second time round. And as a seaside place you can expect to get under water as we did the other day in Oceanarium of big and small amazing creatures otherwise we'd never gotten to see. My favourite will definitely be the blowfish on the second photo which I kept inspecting for an embarrassingly long time while in the shark glass tunnel I couldn't help noticing who was inspecting who.

SCENES FROM A LOWER PERSPECTIVE
SCENES FROM A LOWER PERSPECTIVE

Between the three of us (us and Damian's twin brother as an avid photographer) we are too weak to resist getting to know more seagulls and match our footprints on the sand. This is one of many sandy beaches in the south of England that welcome bare and soled feet all year round so we skip some schedules and go to places we have too many chances to visit. But that's just the beauty of living near the water so we can only produce more situations like this.
