ONE COLD DAY AT A TIME
ONE COLD DAY AT A TIME

Each time I upload pictures to the computer I can see a hat, scarf, fluffy hood. How many miles are we from North Pole? It's usually harmless to stay bundled up until end of February but settling with the thought beyond that point is less than thrilling. And those colours confuse us terribly because really aren't we in season already? How soothing is that? Then March came along and been keeping things interesting in a good old fashioned way varying the features. We can handle most of them, just take a look at the gif at the bottom - favourite image of ever, right? Have a mild in temperature day! x

IT'S MOST DEFINITELY A MONDAY

IT'S MOST DEFINITELY A MONDAY

The great thing about going somewhere different is that it gives me time to reflect: what's not worth spending time on and what's important (clothes included). We definitely want to explore more spots on our local map and this hidden behind tall bricked wall cemetery is no exception. Anyway how are you almost two weeks into the new, happy year? Deliriously excited or simply getting there? Absolutely over winter or giving it a second chance? For me this past week left me pretty tired with never-ending flu (11 days and counting!) and going to bed past reasonable bedtime due to working on my Diploma was not so satisfying to my skin so staying bundled up and covering what should be passed unnoticed is my way of ending the season (not pushing it or anything, just hoping my energy levels reappear soon to enjoy it, rain lashing down or not). It's Monday again, no work for a week, just pj's under whatever I throw on top and no one will know how I got through the day. Ha, only joking not wanting to scare a soul but the week will definitely unwrap itself this or other way and me and Nadia will give it as much attention as we possibly can. And as for my work, it raises the pulse as I speak as I am applying for the senior role within my company and no matter how well I know the routine and policies, well it is still a change which leads me nicely to tomorrow's Daily Hiit challenge: 30 days of sweat should be more than enjoyable. x

THERE ARE STILL TREASURES TO BE FOUND

I do not usually quote Angelina Jolie as she is one of the quieter celebrities and rather than talk for herself, she hides behind others' words. But her recent, however compact quote: 'To get big, risk big' fired up my imagination with the idea of letting my mind shape the rest of my life. I have always been fascinated by publications describing power of human's mind and the way we all are able to turn things around just by adjusting simple thinking habits as our reality begins inside our skulls. How can I derive from the lips of a great value? (pun intended). Well, I've already pushed myself towards unbelievably risky edge by spending almost 30 years on denying my own happiness. What if I dedicate the next 30 and more years to fulfilling my dreams? Will I risk it? Will I risk spending money as I was on top of the richest list, talk to people like I was the super confident girl in town, wear high heels for everyone to hear it on pavement, make love as I was in love for the first time?

*Risking big - letting go of fear and doubt completely through stepping out of one's comfort zone. It does not give an idea of what the possible outcome might be but opens new door, shows possibilities, leaves hope. I'm taking this risk...

Can you believe Christmas is only two weeks away? As the year comes to an end, it's time to reflect on the past and focus on the future. 2013 has been like a tonic to me, shaken well, stirred ferociously. I don't mean I'm keen on herbal tea this time but I'd be glad with at least half of what it claims to be. Happy endings and happy beginnings, girls! x

A whale suitcase is watching me writing last post before taking off to the continent, a sweet snoring tune under the blinking window lights of my bathed girl is accompanying quiet run of my fresh manicured fingers while choosing the words. I have a couple of posts queuing together with more photos than it is humanly possible to decide which will find their home here and on top of that we're flying to Poland later this evening so there is necessity for some more delays but I'll be back quickly enough to bring snow-sprinkled snapshots. I want to enjoy it to the last cell though we have nothing really planned except for experiencing the white down and photographing mini daily adventures in minus temperatures. See you next year, my dears!!! (I'll be back in a week's time to be precise.)

And happy birthday to my brother who turns 30 today and whom I'm just a short flight away.

Among things that await the two of us across the channel like scraped knees and lost squeaky property we'll naturally hold hands, listen curiously not taking eyes off each other, devote nights to more than cuddles. Time will allow almost teenage affection when all we'll be left to do is just stay very close. When you're a parent hands seem to be for other purposes only and their unclaimed movements seek fulfillment while away.

Until I'm back from the biggest adventure of this year, stay fabulously positive and tune in to check what I've been capable of in just two weeks. Above all - have fun, let your adrenaline rush and enjoy the summer Brits have been generously gifted with. Until when? Next week, I suppose...

This is just a quick and quiet post (scheduled to go live at the weekend when I'll be working) as the rest of the household is snuggled down for the next eight to nine hours. Unlike me. So I'll get on with a few thoughts until my 15 minutes are up.

We're only 4 days away from my daughter's first real adventure (Disneyland was fun but this is huge) and many walks through our memory lane so all in all we are just as curious as her. We went to Poland in 2009 - three years, multitude of tantrums, one blog ago. Once we're there I wanna see everything and go everywhere, mostly where I have been before. It's all about bringing it all back but nothing's calculated as plans go a short way. With excitement there comes an anxiety and hesitant drawbacks - will we enjoy it the way we used to do, will I be portrayed as a respectful mother in the eyes of my family or will our parenting methods be fiercely discussed? You always fear the worst and hope for the best. Oh, and it'll be my muffin's first flight and security checks. We might just practice a little bit about going through security using a doorway as a metal detector and take off our shoes to walk through to avoid surprises. It'll be almost autumn when we come back and people, traffic, distractions will wrap us around again. I wish September was already here - I know I might be complaining about rain without a breather but I am a fall and spring lover at heart. Nothing compares to slightly chilly wind and sun that doesn't roast your face.

I'm off to my snoring duo, folks. You take care.
