REBELLION
REBELLION

Where did lazy Sundays go? All we do now is examine the front door constantly while going out or coming in. But that's something we got used to and maintained a pleasant schedule of family weekends at the nearest playground, slightly tucked away from the busy marina. There's a thing about blinding in the sunshine sliding surface that works magic on my tired self even if it's not me polishing it. In a subtle way it calls me to try it out one or two times so I always obey and never regret it.

Yes, I opted for a beach fun for more than one reason but happily followed already arranged play date Nadia awaited all morning saving my pasty white cleavage from roasting alive on the golden sand (I have a habit of complaining about my pale skin tone but it's me who has a tendency to stay away from the sun or treat myself with occasional sunburn. Although I admire the tan on others and not on me, I find nothing wrong with a little teasing how I like/dislike to be on the lighter side ;) but I digress.

This lot (scooter or bike, sticks, leaves, cars and bright pink crayons inclusive) makes no introduction necessary. Rebellious on most trips and easily amused they find so many ways to entertain themselves in front of our very own eyes - Nadia and my two nephews know how to get dirty the second they enter the playground, how to scrap elbows and bruise up their knees for special occasions and that's okay on those sunny days in their explorer's club I'm exclusively invited to.

Nadia and Chase were born the same year (eight months apart) so they've been enjoying similar moods and love for most of the same things since they started walking. When Logan came along she kept pushing him away as he wasn't very much of a valuable companion since all he cared for was trashing her block creations or pulling her princess ensembles. These days they've found interest in more than one thing with Logan being excited to get involved in the group plays and Nadia having someone following her along. The affection and mutual interest between all three of them evolves from day to day. And Logan is just everyone's crush so I can understand the new-found love.

We've been having a proper summer too so I'm sending you greetings from a beach towel roasting on the sand. I have so many nice blogs to catch up with, sorry my friends, this weather will not last long (especially in English conditions). I'm back in a jiffy at first rain pour. x

MY ONLY CRIME IS SHADE
MY ONLY CRIME IS SHADE
MY ONLY CRIME IS SHADE
MY ONLY CRIME IS SHADE
Sleeveless top: Atmosphere, Shirt: Zara, Jeans: H&M
After an aginizing week, my ear is back to normal and I can't be more ecstatic! I can finally sleep on my right side restfully and well... just enjoy something else then a couple of painkillers for breakfast. We've also seen lots of sun recently and you know that there's nothing I love more than a good adventure after a busy day at work so I took my job of a quick dress up very seriously and headed to our favourite playground taking my two nephews along to play and make repeated requests for hugs and photographs (rest assured for a photo overload soon). Originally I was craving being served on a hot sand giving my pale limbs a proper spotlight but the male party in our group voted against beach jaunt and Nadia has been waiting all morning to meet her cousins on hot tin slide so I saved everyone from experiencing my shocking hue.

Because the focus of this outfit is towards my top and free flowing shirt, I don't expect anyone to point their fingers at my rather curvacious thighs that accentuate the look. Just recently, my jeans well trained to tell when the fabric gets tight has been exposing all the wrong places. Funny bit to know: all my teenage years I struggled to get some flesh on me being laughed at for my bony wrists and ribs sticking out. I stuffed my face on more than one occasion for those precious female roundness to appear overnight but no such luck for me at that time until... years and years later I'm complaining, covering, being silly over a pound or two (they will have to go, I swear). How perceptions change, preferences shift.

Happy Thursday, everyone! x

HOW WE LIKE YOU, SUNNY DAYS
HOW WE LIKE YOU, SUNNY DAYS
How did you spend your weekend? We spent the first of many (I hope) sunny days at the beach sifting sand, creating castles with rocks found inches away from our wet feet exposing cottage cheese skin to our endless embarrassment. It was quite windy and rather late for beach frolicking (working mama's treat) so excuse my photos in full gear. I promise to attract some sun rays already being pretty fond of my skin at some point this summer. I need a clear sky like celebrities need their botox injections and Nadia our pots and lids to play successfully. As now we're finally getting what's been claimed for ages of dreariness, rest assured for more shots of us making new memories. Weather's already done its best. Did you manage to catch some sun, tan or just fresh air?

^^ Whether local or not the views always delight the eyes at every turn. This time however I focused on a community of mussel beds stuck on stone pier they're pleased to inhabit. Fascinating how many elongated and asymmetrical members colonized the area and how thrilling it was to find them in their natural habitat rather then packed and frozen on the supermarket shelf. ^^

^^ My thoughts are racing to keep up with the teasing sunshine - I have neglected our summer wardrobe and beach equipment hasn't been searched for either. I'm instantly super-alert with seasonal changes, this year blame it on the weather's behaviour. ^^

^^ Mornings and evenings spent with this little lady make them special and unique. Days revolve around deciding on the ice cream flavour (she loves chocolate just like her daddy leaving all the sourness of fruit to me), dancing like a joyful monkey, quirky tales and new ideas. ^^

Thank you my lovely readers: Meena, Carolyn and Corinne for commenting on my last post - I'm full of mixed emotions when sharing personal stuff especially as this is still an unfamiliar territory to me. I am grateful for your response though I didn't anticipate it. Time is going by fast and I want to focus on the present, travel long distances to surprise others, write short messages just to tell them it's warm outside and I hope they're happy too. For me you are present even if you live outside of reasonable driving distance... x
