║today my way║

Nadia's style has been developing since scratch mittens era and presents itself better in colder temperatures. What will be incorporated into her conscious fashion statement from violet and fuchsia shades I supply dresser shelves today and what will be totally forgotten? With tear in my eye I'll understand. Until then... between nakedness of running arms and legs and outfits I tend to choose the day before and hang them on her bedroom door - we're happy with the style she's presented to mud, sand and rain so far. If she could choose to stay naked throughout her childhood, she would (and I'd only bookmark adult stores) but now we're nearer the summer than we will ever be (pun intended) so the hidden stylist in me emerges with an eye for everything that's not baby pink, Peppa Pig'y, Dora the Explorer, Upsy Daisy, Igglepiggle... you get the picture. We do follow their TV  performances but wearing them the way they're shown before our eyes in stores is our definite 'no no'. Firstly they made on a massive scale so the chances your child is the only proud of its Waybooloo motif one are lower than her bike's seat, secondly you'd win a fortune guessing which colour they were coming in, thirdly less chosen shades are more interesting for mood swings (brown, navy blue, grey, khaki) and fourthly just like having the way of raising her clearly in my mind, I've always loved picturing a little swashbuckling Pippi Langstrumpf's image of a girl as mine muffin - unconventional in dressing and behaviour. Before I left beloved countryside home to explore the city life at the age of thirteen, I was very much this kind of girl, parading on the street wearing felt green hat with goose feather sticking out. Every little girl's dream at least hundred times in her childhood is to become princess but before she finds out, I can still teach her grace while wearing shorts and baseball caps.

I know I haven't got much time to show her how to make effort with whatever she puts on before she takes over the knobs of our wardrobe so every outing is prepared to the last detail (wooden necklaces, bracelets and hairbands in place). Call me a crazy mama but styling a three year old is more fun than sorting chaos around the house.

Summer in this country is not available. Keep searching. This headline should be the latest news for everybody on the continent to see and feel for us. And we should get a refund for the sun lotions, swimming suits and beach towels we bought in the first week of a nice weather that has fooled us. But on the positive note it's only June, so who knows how hot it might get in the months to come. Who knows if ever.

As for the bits and bobs from this week I'll go out of order and start with the best ones: Friday date night with my husband and little pumpkin in the Bowlplex. Skills aside, the overall fun mattered. We grabbed my friend along to toddler-sit but she eventually joined the bowling team and came second. On Thursday my second nephew turned ONE and we had a great time covered in confetti and bursting balloons. Food was delicious so I grabbed a piece of everything in sight. No more buggy trips (I wish!) this summer as my little Treasure involves her bike in every outing. She doesn't even want me to push her vehicle so she can tip toe forward (yes, she still did not quite figure out how to pedal). We walk side by side (one of us is sitting at the same time) enjoying the cloudy sky.

On Sunday evening we went on a threesome date to a local Italian restaurant Peppinos and wolfed down everything we carefully ordered. Playing with chlorinated waves definitely helped us digest more food and share some of it between us (I admit shamelessly I had a good portion of carbohydrates). Nadia was one good girl for the first hour after which we went above and beyond to keep her at our table. Daddy's iPhone and a little fish in a tank held us in a group of still welcome customers although one guest sitting next to our table would have his keys nicked while he was out due to plush toy attached to them. Watchful eyes and curious hands always on duty.

This summer I will diligently make an effort to stay focused on us among other things that come in a way. They come in twos and even threes, so we hope to spend the majority of time outside together and let work turn into play (how we're going to do this, I'm still figuring out). More date nights are coming our way so once we finally move out to a garden flat, we'll sit in a backyard sipping little port with Chinese lanterns hanging from the tree above our chairs. We're working on it...

I don't think summer is for indoor fun so gathering beach towels, air toys, sun lotion is the only way to get sun's attention. We'll sure find things to do, places to go and weather to handle. There are swans hatching until end of June, summer festivals make their appearance across Dorset, fish and chips have never tasted better than eaten among seagulls by the shore. Why have we forgotten about the sea all spring? Beyond embarrassing. Swings, slides, hideaways and Wet & Wacky Family Fun in the swimming pool are a complete must for never-pausing girl with blond locks. She sure will be given all the opportunity to enjoy her third year with her cousin's birthday in two weeks and most importantly - flying to Poland in the beginning of August! We're counting down the days, writing down things we want to do with her (walk in the river, eat tiny round mushroom pizza, go places by train, let her run wild and pet random cats and dogs, listen to people speak our language, pick up fruit from the garden, play with toys I used to play as a girl). Why Bournemouth and Bytom are so far apart?

It's Polish Kids' Day today and parents usually buy small gifts for their kids, organize special activities. No matter the weather we'll find tons of entertainment for a little curious babe. I'm excited. Today is also a date night which will be moved for Monday when we're taking a little trip to Isle of Portland to celebrate the long weekend with thanks to the Queen for extra time to spend with my family. So life is good! Days are longer (saves us on electricity), grass is shinier and the skin a little less pale... um, you know... the usual summer treats. You can walk in the evenings, buy an ice cream or two, go for a bike ride along the coast, eat in the garden (when will I have one?), pick fresh strawberries, red and blackcurrants from the farms, show off the posing skills for the camera (and take a photo each year in the same place but we're still deciding which beauty spot to choose). Within this quarter we're for a treat of receiving our long awaited brown leather sofa to replace a cream vintage one being a journal of what's been eaten by us (Nadia in particular) for the last three years. Who would have guessed back then bright furniture don't go along with children. Any kind of furniture. I'm also introducing Family Fiesta on the first day of calendar summer as a celebration of this beautiful season.

You would never have guessed what I ate (and in what amounts) for the past week. Take a look at the variety of food I enjoyed (without gaining a pound or two so far) while getting sunburn walking on the beach. A lovely sushi and grilled salmon to tuna paste with black olives and not so delicious celery, broccoli and cucumber juice (it was barely drinkable but I managed... before heading to the bathroom) completed the menu. On top of that my mum sent us a little packet with sweets and lollies we hardly kept for later. Like later than this evening. If the weather stays as fabulous as it's been we'll soon try one too many seaside eateries (OK I will, not Nadia) and you'll be confused with the idea of my blogging. This is one of many many reasons I love living by the seaside because it gives me the opportunity to enjoy the visual pleasures as well as sensual.

Just so you know mummy, today I am in a possession of your bed and holding on to my laptop while munching those Haribo bears I will not be of a very much use at all. I might just as well be left alone with my cartoon. Thank you.

1. Bust up with a little help from this gorgeous gel 2. Body lotion from dreams
3. Multi-purpose body oil 4. Shower cream my skin has fallen in love with
5. Bye bye cellulite, thanks to my high definition body cream
6. Almond shower oil I can't cope without

Not just day to day events and decisions create who I am but also I'm made of what comes into contact with my skin. Cuddles and kisses are the absolute proof of the art of overusing so why not help my skin on its way to happiness?! Look up and proceed to satisfy your body's needs! I have been using most of the fabulousness above over the past few months (multi-purpose body oil and shower cream have started off yesterday and I augur them a sweet life in my bathroom) and apart from sensual feeling, only the visual results count. As for the senses - hands up for the peach extract, candlenut oil and orange blossom scent in a moisturising body lotion that stays long after I've taken my clothes off. And I'm totally into the almond shower oil being incredibly soft on my skin (and not ruining my budget).

Now into that 'wow moment' - judging bottled miracles after the battle (with time and free radicals, and maybe a little beauty inconsistency). I put it down to the high definition body cream and drinking more mineral water that my cellulite is less and less visible (especially with no contact lenses on) and legs look skinnier and visibly smoother than ever. So here it is - my lifetime of makeover in bottles. They're winning! But not stopping here, there are sooo many beyond fabulous out there! Will I have enough time to try them all? Will you have enough patience to read it and get a peekie of me being a product of hundreds of patents and work of intelligent lab people? It's too bad if you miss it. Well, don't. Come back when I make it. And come back if I won't.
