Where did lazy Sundays go? All we do now is examine the front door constantly
while going out or coming in. But that's something we got used to and
maintained a pleasant schedule of family weekends at the nearest
playground, slightly tucked away from the busy marina. There's a thing
about blinding in the sunshine sliding surface that works magic on my
tired self even if it's not me polishing it. In a subtle way it calls me
to try it out one or two times so I always obey and never regret it.
Yes,
I opted for a beach fun for more than one reason but happily followed
already arranged play date Nadia awaited all morning saving my pasty
white cleavage from roasting alive on the golden sand (I have a habit of
complaining about my pale skin tone but it's me who has a tendency to
stay away from the sun or treat myself with occasional sunburn. Although
I admire the tan on others and not on me, I find nothing wrong with a
little teasing how I like/dislike to be on the lighter side ;) but I
digress.
This
lot (scooter or bike, sticks, leaves, cars and bright pink crayons
inclusive) makes no introduction necessary. Rebellious on most trips and
easily amused they find so many ways to entertain themselves in front
of our very own eyes - Nadia and my two nephews know how to get dirty
the second they enter the playground, how to scrap elbows and bruise up their knees for special occasions and that's okay on those sunny days in
their explorer's club I'm exclusively invited to.

Nadia and Chase were born the same year (eight months apart) so they've been enjoying similar moods and love for most of the same things since they started walking. When Logan came along she kept pushing him away as he wasn't very much of a valuable companion since all he cared for was trashing her block creations or pulling her princess ensembles. These days they've found interest in more than one thing with Logan being excited to get involved in the group plays and Nadia having someone following her along. The affection and mutual interest between all three of them evolves from day to day. And Logan is just everyone's crush so I can understand the new-found love.

We've been having a proper summer too so I'm sending you greetings from a beach towel roasting on the sand. I have so many nice blogs to catch up with, sorry my friends, this weather will not last long (especially in English conditions). I'm back in a jiffy at first rain pour. x
